AS Monaco midfielder Cesc Fabregas has revealed his favourite Arsenal players at the moment. He made this known during a Q & A (question and answer) session on Twitter to celebrate his 18th year anniversary as a professional footballer.
The former Arsenal skipper was asked several football-related questions by football fans. In one of the questions, Cesc Fabregas was asked to mention his current favourite Arsenal players. In his response, Cesc Fabregas called the Arsenal Academy graduate duo of Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith-Rowe.
Saka and Smith-Rowe have been the standout players at Arsenal since the start of last season.
Left-footed player Saka was rewarded with an invitation to the Three Lions of England camp due to his good form last season and he has established himself as a regular fixture in the squad. He has already played 13 times for England.
Saka played his part as England reached the Euro 2020 final earlier this year before they were beaten on penalties by Italy. He was one of three players who missed during shootout as Italy win 3-2 to seal a second European Championship title after the two nations had scored one goal each after extra time.
While Saka was the best Arsenal player last season, Smith-Rowe has taken over from him as the best Arsenal player for this season and he has been rewarded with the invitation to the England squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against San Marino and Albania.
Smith-Rowe would be hoping to make his debut when England take on Albania on Friday night. The Arsenal midfielder has scored goals for fun in recent weeks and he has five goals in all competitions. Smith-Rowe has four goals in the league this term. His fourth league goal of the season came against Watford in a 1-0 win for the Gunners.
